OUR PATRONESS
St. Thérèse of Lisieux – Our Patroness
St. Thérèse of Lisieux (1873–1897), lovingly called The Little Flower, was a young Carmelite nun from France whose short life blossomed with extraordinary faith and love. Though she lived only 24 years, her simple yet profound “Little Way” of holiness continues to inspire millions across the world. She believed that greatness does not lie in doing extraordinary deeds, but in performing small acts with extraordinary love, humility, and trust in God.
For the students of Lisieux Matric Hr. Sec. School, St. Thérèse stands as a gentle guide and role model. She teaches us that true achievement is not measured merely by marks or awards, but by the kindness we show, the respect we give, and the dedication we bring to our daily responsibilities. Her life reminds us that even the smallest gestures—helping a classmate, being honest, showing gratitude, or persevering in studies—can shape our character and make a difference in the world.
As our patron, St. Thérèse calls every student to walk the “Little Way” of love, simplicity, and faith, discovering that every step taken with sincerity can lead to greatness.
